You can employ all of the above techniques; But at the end of the day, the choice of coffee beans gives the biggest effect and flavor.

If you are not choosing the right coffee beans you are compromising on the quality and taste. Although merely picking the best coffee bean is not the only criteria for brewing an awesome coffee. Storing them properly is as important as choosing the right one. So before you invest money buying a coffee, read further to :
  1. Identify what to look for in your Coffee Bean; And 
  2. Know what is to be done, once you’ve bought it home 

Coffee Bean Types:

Coffee Arabica is known for its superiority. Why superior? Because it has a pleasing flavor, aromatic belongings, and low acidity. It’s harvested in the higher altitudes and cost high to grow. This sells at a higher price because of its low yield plant production and labor intensive.

Arabica Bean:

Coffee Arabica is known for its superiority. Why superior? Because it has a pleasing flavor, aromatic belongings, and low acidity. It’s harvested in the higher altitudes and cost high to grow. This sells at a higher price because of its low yield plant production and labor intensive.

Robusta Bean:

Coffee Robusta is lower in quality than Arabica. It has more levels of caffeine, harsh in flavor and more acidic. It is grown in lower altitudes, hot climate and cost low for harvesting. The mass market has the Robusta variety of coffee beans.


How to Roast Coffee Beans:

The Coffee bean for brewing must be roasted well. Coffee beans are usually roasted with dry heat and with continuous anxiety to guarantee uniform heating. Coffee is being roasted from light brown to dark and then almost dark. Due to Erratic roasting time, it gives a major effect to the aroma and flavor. However it has different levels of roasting we will focus on Light, Medium, and finally Dark.


Light Roast : As the term conveys, it has been roasted to the minimum required roasting. Since its light roasted, the original flavor remains intact in the coffee. Though it’s more acidic, high variation of coffee beans is mostly roasted light to preserve the original flavor in the coffee. Example of light roasting is also knowns as Light City, Half City, Cinnamon, and New England.


Medium Roast : Medium roasted coffee beans are Choco brown in color. It has its full flavor with fewer acidity properties. The taste of the medium roast would be somewhat sweet and have a burnt flavor. This is the most popular roast among the commercial market due to its composed flavor. Example of medium roasting is also known as City, American, Regular Roast and Breakfast.


Dark Roast : Dark roast coffee beans are almost dark, oily and have bitterness. The flavor for dark roasted is strong and smoky. The lower quality coffee beans are always dark roasted and lower in acidity than medium. Example of dark roasting is also known as High, Continental, Espresso, Italian and French.
